Damme (by car, boat or bike)

Damme is a picturesque town located near Bruges, known for its charming canals, medieval architecture, and peaceful atmosphere. We can easily reach Damme either by bike, with scenic cycling routes starting from Bruges, or by boat along the beautiful canals. You can choose between a 6 or 10 km walk.

The town offers a glimpse into the past with its well-preserved historical buildings and cobbled streets, making it a perfect destination for history enthusiasts and nature lovers.

Damme is a tranquil escape, just a short distance from Bruges, offering a mix of culture, history, and scenic beauty.

We end with a drink at the market.

Zwin (by car)

The Zwin Nature Park is a unique coastal reserve located near Knokke, known for its diverse wildlife, beautiful wetlands, and stunning landscapes. It is a haven for birdwatchers, as it hosts numerous migratory species throughout the year.

We will explore its walking trails (5km), learn about its ecology at the visitor center, and enjoy the tranquil beauty of the park.

Ostend (by train)

Oostend is a vibrant coastal city on the Belgian coast, known for its lively atmosphere and long sandy beaches.

With a rich maritime history, Oostende offers a blend of cultural attractions, including museums, galleries, and historic landmarks.

The city is also famous for its bustling harbor and seafront promenade, where visitors can enjoy fresh seafood and beautiful views.

Whether you're looking to relax on the beach, explore the local history, Oostende has something for everyone.

De Haan (by car)

The Haan is a charming seaside town on the Belgian coast, known for its tranquil atmosphere and beautiful beaches.

The village has a rich history and is famous for its villa neighborhoods and green surroundings. The Haan is perfect for walking and cycling enthusiasts, with plenty of nature reserves and trails nearby.

It is also a popular destination for families, offering a mix of relaxation and recreational activities.

Ryckevelde (by bus or car or bike)

Ryckevelde Forest is a beautiful and serene natural area located just outside Brugge, perfect for a relaxing walk amidst nature. We travel to Ryckevelde Forest by bus or with bik from Brugge, and once we arrive, we embark on a scenic 8 km walk through the forest.

The route takes us through lush woodlands, tranquil paths, and picturesque landscapes, offering a peaceful escape from the city. It's a great opportunity to connect with nature, enjoy the fresh air, and experience the beauty of this hidden gem.

We end with a drink at the Ryckevelde Castle.

Wet Meadows of Assebroek
(by bike or car)

Assebroekse Meersen is located to the south of Assebroek and is a nature reserve, known for its wet grasslands. This area once served as a natural floodplain for the surrounding villages, but due to drainage, it now only experiences temporary flooding in winter or after heavy rainfall.
