Hi, I'm Rune, born and raised in Bruges.
I’ve always had an eye for the little things and a deep love for the beauty in everyday life.

I’m passionate about travel, running, baking, and cooking.
I decided to start Beyond Bruges.
I want to move my body meet new people and bring people together.

Why? Because Bruges is so much more than cobblestones, chocolate, and canals.
Beyond the postcards lies a hidden side of the city full of authentic spots, nature, and surprising gems.
I’m here to help you discover that version of Bruges, the one most travelers never get to see.

Tourism has always been part of my story. I studied it throughout high school and earned a bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Leisure Management. I also work as a travel agent and Beyond Bruges Tours feels like the right thing to do.

My travels have taken me all over the world.
From Japan to Kyrgyzstan, Guatemala to Vietnam, South Africa to Mexico, and Morocco to Thailand.

Wherever I go, I seek out real, local experiences. Whether I’m traveling solo or with a group, that same love for authenticity is what I bring into every tour I create here.
